Delicious ice-cream

It’s Summer and there’s nothing better than a cold ice-cream to keep you cool. And there’s always a healthy and tasty alternative. You don’t need to ingest the sugar-filled, chemical-based ice-creams you find in the shops.

In our post surgery health advice series of articles here’s a healthy ice-cream recipe that is easy and cheap to make:

Stay Slim Ice cream

4-6 servings


1 cup water
1/2 cups raw unsalted cashews (optional: pumpkin seeds, almonds or mix of few), soaked and drained
3 large bananas
1/2 to 1 cup of any other fruit you might like (mango, strawberries, kiwi, apricots, etc.)
3-4 pitied dates, (optional: small hand full of resins, 1-2 spoons of honey, agave or similar)

Any blender or food processor

Preparation time 5 min max:

Throw nuts and water in your blender, and blast on high until satisfied with consistency. Add all other ingredients and spin until chunky and chewy or blast until smooth and creamy. Eat immediately or transfer to a sealed container, and freeze until firm.

Design you own healthy ice cream and choose you own types of fruits, nuts, etc.
